My Mommy went home
Booo... I took my mommy to the airport about an hour ago. We had a good time. Our trip to Montreal was a little bit disappointing because we couldn't find parking, but Emmy had a good time. We found a dog park there and she had a good old time. We did a lot of shopping and walking while she was here since there isn't really that much to see. Now I'm off to let me food coma pass and then write and article for the internship that I'm starting today. I'll post the link whenever my article gets published. It's supposed to be on Acting Lessons. Sounds interesting enough I guess. After, I'm going to start studying for my GREs. Another boo, but I'm going to try the grad school thing again. Let's hope there is some success this time around.

Emmy pictures
Emmy LOVES peanut butter. After we finished this jar of pb, we gave it to her when she was in her crate. This afternoon she went back into her crate and got it out. It's a good thing she can't get her big head all the way in. That could have been a problem.
And here are a couple of pictures of Emmy and her daddy.

Rain barrels...again
Okay so I wrote this a while ago, but it was incredibly dull because I was utterly uninspired. After almost two months away from it, I'm finally submitting my second draft to the Project.
Here is what was there before:
Rain Barrel
Large clay barrels sit conveniently under each greenhouse gutter. Catching
the gutter water, the tub serves as a preservation receptacle. Providing
the grounds with natural soft water, the water butts store the liquid until
needed. Not only do the barrels store water for the gardening by retaining
the heavy rainfall, the barrels prevent soil erosion as well as flooding.
Extended Descriptions
Gutter Greenhouse
Running along the lowermost portion of the greenhouse roof, the gutters lead the rainfall to the rain barrels.
Barrels Clay
About four feet tall, these barrels have a maximum capacity of fifty
gallons. Originally a light shade of clay brown, the aged water butts have
transformed into green moss covered cylindrical sculptures. Blending in
with the vegetation surrounding them, the barrels become part of the
landscape to an unaware passerby.
There was only a minor change in this extended description.
Echo
12 11 2 A small water bug floats across the placid surface of the water, creating serene ringlets of movement.
And this is what I have now:
Rain Barrel
Large clay barrels sit conveniently beneath each greenhouse gutter. Thick chunks of dried mud cling to the sides of the clay surface, making the natural pastel orange color a dingy gray-brown; practicality winning over beauty. Moss and dirt fight to engulf the glazed form of the barrel, leaving it a putrid green-brown swirl of color to cover the battleground. Catching the gutter water, the tub serves as a preservation receptacle. Providing the grounds with natural soft water, the water butts store the liquid until needed. Not only do the barrels store water for the gardening by retaining the heavy rainfall, the barrels also prevent soil erosion as well as flooding.

Moss Mud Sides Glazed Clay Battleground
Fighting with moss, the light brown clumps of dirt cling to the glossy surface of the clay barrel. The moss gradually creeps up the sides of the raised clumps of dried mud, hoping to overtake the ugly brown lump.

So the echo and the Gutter extended description didn't change, but the main description changed drastically in my opinion. It has a little bit of life in it now. Man, it was soooo boring before and very much unlike my style of writing. It sounded like something that would have come out of a text book.

Privila internship
Okay, so in my search for a job, I came across this journalism internship at Pivilia. I'm not exactly sure what the company is, but it couldn't hurt to try it. So I submitted an application and they sent me a topic to write an article on. Casino dice. Interesting huh? Yeah, well, I'm in the same boat. So for phase two I had to write a 500-800 word article about these fabulous dice. It came out to be 563, but oh well. That's a lot for regurgitating what I read on websites. Oh, I just realized I submitted it without citing. Oops. Well there goes that one. Anyways, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post it since it could look like it was something I already had written, but if anyone is interested in reading about casino dice, let me know. Don't worry, I won't be hurt if no one wants to read it. I wouldn't want to read it either. Here's a fun fact though, all certified casino dice are right handed. That means that when the one dot is facing up, the two dot is on the left and the three dot is on the right. If a cheater tries to bring in a Crooked die, then the spots will be off. Interesting huh? Hahahha, I thought it was anyways.
If I do get this internship even with my lack of citations, I'd learn something, that's for sure...though they really shouldn't take me on since I forgot to cite. Oh well, it's up to them now. Not much more that I can do.

Our little wolf
I'm sick...boo
I think I have a stomach bug that's been going around. I can't tell if it was the chicken nuggets that I got from the grocery store last night or the bug. I thought that it was heartburn at first, but then I got an asthma attack too. So I have no idea what it is. Right now my stomach feels okay, but the pains keep coming back. At least I haven't vomited again. Three in the morning over the toilet bowl wasn't fun for me and Emmy. She had no idea what was going on when I jumped out of bed and went running for the bathroom. I hope it starts feeling better soon.
I wish I could just take Emmy out and let her run around while I sit in the sun and read. Though it is only 20 degrees, it's not that cold. I have to take her out for a walk soon, which I'm not looking forward to. She only got one walk yesterday too, because I didn't feel like taking her up to the soccer field to let her run around. The weather sure does take a toll on her exercise.

Little Doggy Pictures
Here are even more pictures of Emmy.
She's sleeping with her chicken!!
I hate when she gives me this look, which she does all the time. She can get anything she wants when she does this, but don't tell her that.
I've been trying to get a shot of this for ages, but whenever she does it and I go to reach for the camera she stops to see what I'm doing.
Right after she was scratching her face she yawn.
And then she plopped down.

Work sucks, I know...
Well, it's back to job hunting. My boss from the other place decided that I didn't have enough experience...for answering phones. Mr. Levie thinks that it's because I met his wife the day before. He said that he's heard of people getting fired because they're to friendly and young. If I got fired because she doesn't like me that sucks. I asked if I did something wrong and he told me that I didn't and that I was a good worker and he would give me a recommendation letter if I wanted. I was like, if I didn't do anything wrong and I'm a good worker, then why the heck are you firing me? Needless to say I was not happy. When I got home poor Emmy didn't know why her mommy was so moody. While I brooded and stomped around, I managed to clean up the apartment. Emmy had gotten into the packages of seaweed that my mom sent me and pooped all over the carpeted room. Edward said that he would clean it up, but it smelled so I had to do something.
We don't want to have to put Emmy in her crate when we leave, but she poops when she is left alone for to long. I guess it's understandable since she has no way to get outside, but I don't know what to do. I guess loosing my job came at a good time since Edward just left on his spring break. We were all worried about her being alone for to long, but now that's not a problem.
On the upside, getting fired (for no good reason may I add) allows me to be home when my mom comes to visit. That's right! My mommy is coming! She was going to come before, but was only going to stay for a few days. Now she's going to come for six days!!! Yippe! It's too bad my dad and brother can't come, but I'll settle for what I can get. If anyone wants to come visit please do. Auntie Mary, I heard you wanted to come out here, please do! Anyways, Blink 182's song (All the Small Things) really hits home with my not so pleasant experience.
