I would like to say how proud I am of my Edward Bear. He just told me that he won a contest at school for the best invention that could possibly help change the world. His proposal was about goggles. "Goggles?" you're asking yourself. Yes. Goggles. These goggles allow law enforcement to send a strobe light into a risky situation without being affected by the blinding light. The light stuns the victims and the goggle wearers can take immediate action. Pretty cool huh? Well the coolest thing to me is that he won $1000, which will help him stay afloat during the summer without a job. I'm so happy for him!
Note: I am demanding some pizza from his winnings.

He should give that money to our dad...those goggles are something our dad developed at work when we were kids!!
The proposal I wrote was definitely inspired by what he did. What I wrote integrated a wireless network for syncing multiple goggles/strobes and infrared/night vision operation.
The contest was to describe a technological solution to a problem. I definitely don't claim to have come up with the initial idea! Standing on the shoulders of giants, as they say...
