Flavored Oils

I've been doing a lot of grocery shopping at Grocery Outlet.  I know, I know. You're probably scoffing at the idea, but really, their produce is really quite fresh.  I haven't had any problems yet, though I've heard from others that they don't last long.  It could be that I cook more frequently so that the vegetables don't get a chance to go bad.  I just plan my menus around what looks good at the market that day. (Not to mention they have an AWESOME wine selection.) On a day that Nick got stuck shopping with me after our weekend lunch Pho, which is across the street, he found that he really liked some fizzy lemonade.  The bottles were so pretty that I couldn't bare to part with them.  Yes, I'm a bit of a hoarder.

My dad and I made some rosemary infused olive oil a few months ago (put it into a warm oven for a while to really boost the flavor)...it was gooooooooooood with fried breakfast potatoes.

Just be careful to use the oil soonish...I've heard scares about botulism in infused oils where you leave the plant inside. Not sure if it's really a problem, though.
