New Kitchen Counters

I have been waiting and waiting to get new kitchen counters.  After refinishing the cabinets and painting the walls it was time for the big upgrade.  I'm so pleased with all the upgrades in the apartment that I never want to move out.  If only it was three times bigger, it would be my dream kitchen!  I love it!

Originally we wanted a bigger sink, but had looked over the fact that the underside of our counter wasn't big enough.  To the left was our dishwasher ( which we're replacing it eventually) and the right our cabinet/support beam.  So we weren't able to get a larger sink because it wouldn't fit the hole that was previously there.  We settled for a smaller sink, but of the same design.  Nick and I had also gotten a new faucet head to go with our sink.  We really wanted an industrial sized faucet head, but they were all too tall for the height of the cabinets.  We settled on a semi-goose neck faucet, but it's a great compromise.

We had extra  granite so we had our bar area
done as well.
