For lunch Vanessa had gone to Melo's to pick up pizza. To try to save money, I decided not to participate. I love their spaghetti and meatballs, but I didn't want to pay $8.50 for them. I don't mind spending that for dinner, but for lunch it is a bit much for such a simple dish. With the thought of spaghetti in my head, I went to Sprouts to pick up some supplies and made it myself.

Normally, I would put the meatballs on a cooling rack to cook so that they
don't sit in their own oil, but I didn't want to have to clean the rack. |

I chopped up an onion and red bell pepper and threw it in a pot to saute before
adding about a cup of red wine. |
