Tonight's Dinner: July 24, 2012

Tonight's dinner was a lot of work and a lot of food.  Being the way I am, I didn't think just Fukien fried rice would be enough so I also made stir fried fish in brown sauce.  One or the other would have been plenty.  We didn't even make a dent in the rice and there is so much sauce left over.  I'm thinking that I can repurpose it into a soup or freeze it.  The execution was easy, but the prep takes forever.  I guess I could have made a more simple fried rice, but I wanted to use all of the veggies that I had in the fridge.  I still have three red bell peppers left to use.  Maybe we'll have stuffed bell peppers soon.  Like most Chinese food, I just kept eating and eating and eating.  I was full, but I loved the sauce over my rice and the fish tasted really good.  Nick said he was full and I just kept shoveling rice and snow peas into my mouth.

Yup, there is rice under there.

This fish in brown sauce was so delicious. I
might have to make it again next week.  It was
also a lot easier to prepare than the fried rice
simply because there was much less prep work
to be done.
